    • Deborah joined the ProgressiveChristianity.org team in November of 2013 as the Administrator.

      In February 2007, after a 30-year career in the Insurance Industry, Deborah and her Partner sold their San Diego insurance firm Fitness and Wellness Insurance Agency to Philadelphia Insurance Company.

      Her experience and capabilities span the full spectrum of running a small business. As President/CEO of Fitness and Wellness Insurance Agency, she managed a national firm doing $15 Million in sales with 30 employees and 20,000 clients in all 50 states.

      Deborah’s expertise in automation delivery systems, marketing and customer service led to the development of a state-of-the-art insurance program that served the needs of Health and Fitness Industry. Her experience includes optimization of customer relationship management systems that delivered 90% retention ratios. By combining both direct and indirect marketing strategies through advertising, promotional materials, and association development, she created consistent annual growth in client numbers and income. Implementation of cross-selling techniques and training of staff to improve customer service and overall customer satisfaction led to client delivery systems that put her company in the top 3 nationwide.

      In addition to running the Insurance Agency, Deborah was involved in key industry associations including President of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of San Diego and President of the San Diego Professional Women in Insurance. She was also active in the community as a volunteer working with the United Way, President of the Women’s Division of the Chamber of Commerce, and President of the Big Sister League of San Diego.

      In 2012 Deborah relocated to Washington and turned to another of her loves, the Arts; and today she a Commission or the Arts in Gig Harbor, WA.

      Deborah has two sons, Michael and Sean and she lives in Fox Island, WA where she continues to enjoy her love of the outdoors.
