Theme: Dreamtime Reality — Season of Hope
Thoughts for Reflection
To travel hopefully is the mark of a pilgrim. To believe one has arrived is the mark of the insecure.
May the food that we eat
And the friends that we share
Give us strength for spreading
True justice and peace.
When prayers were words
I felt like
I was failing
a sentence prayer exam.
I woke up this morning and noticed quietness in my mind.
Hey! That little irritating Old Judge God was gone. Gone.
There is a Light no eyes can see…
a sound that can’t be heard with ears…
an ancient Loving energy
that vanquishes our tears and fears.
If you can
tell me where
after I leave here,
I won’t be
When we pray
come, Lord Jesus
Do we mean to say
come, you malnourished stranger
Especially when I feel stressed, may stillness help me to become calm, so that I can wait for silent consolation.
For the mystery that enfolds us and blesses us,
For the beauty that surrounds us and nourishes us,
For the life that flows within us and among us,
For the bounty before us,
As we leave worship, let us together commit ourselves:
– to give thanks each day for the abundant gift and beauty of life
I believe in the hidden God of love,
the spirit of love and compassion
found at the breadth and depth of every human life.
