All life’s many cycles

Rest within God’s circle

And reveal Earth dying and yet living.

 

Pastures wrapped in stillness,

Woods asleep in darkness,

Each sustain the life-force of Earth’s people.

 

Birds that fly the heavens,

Fish that swim the oceans,

Each sustain the life-force of Earth’s people.

 

Field and mountain creatures,

With the whole of Nature,

All sustain the life-force of Earth’s people.

 

Growing through each dying,

Spinning beauty’s being,

Our Earth Mother births God’s gift of living.
