Blessed be our journey as we make our way,
Reaching forward to that timeless day
When God’s mighty hand will unite in loving bond
All creation in new life beyond.
See, far around, the heavens expand their scope.
Wide our wonder and profound our hope;
For here from their dust, life arose and we awoke.
Love was kindled by the word God spoke.
Deep are the strains that rend this tiny sphere;
Blithe in times of joy, distraught in fear.
O teach us the wisdom to tend this fragile place;
May Earth’s marvels thrive in peace and grace.
Hear those sad voices that from darkness cry,
Craving freedom and humanity.
Uplift from the depths lonely outcasts, life denied;
Love and justice shall restore their pride.
Countless the prayers that well from inner need.
May our pleas bear fruit in thought and deed.
Your word is our rock, holy wisdom guides aright.
