Let’s Play at Being Ice

From the ‘Sing Young, Sing Joyfully’ collection

1. Let’s play at being ice,

As cold as frost and snow,

Bringing sleeping time

When life can grow.

2. Let’s play at being rain,

As puddles or as storms,

Rain to water life

In all its forms.

3. Let’s play at being wind,

Let’s blow and blow and blow

Till the stars emerge

With their bright glow.

4. Let’s play at being light,

Light dancing from the sun

Filling all the Earth

With warmth and fun.

5. Thank God for ice and snow,

Thank God for all the rain,

For the wind and Sun

Thank God again.
