The dough is rising,

The frond unfurling,

The people’s hope is growing

For justice everywhere.

 

The flower is fruiting,

The grape fermenting,

The people’s search is spreading

For spirit everywhere.

 

The leaves are falling,

The winter coming,

Come join the growing longing

For new life everywhere.

 

But Earth is crying,

The creatures dying,

Come save this threatened planet

From deadness everywhere.

 

When hearts are bonding,

When prayer shapes doing,

Then sacred ways of caring

Shall free life everywhere.
