Christmas the World Over

Christmas rituals have evolved over the centuries, interacting with local cultures and stories to produce distinctive traditions in different parts of the world.  When we incorporate these traditions in our own seasonal festivities, our view is widened and we experience again the story’s universality: the expectant waiting, the search for shelter, the miraculous birth of a baby.  We love our own traditions and we learn from those of others.  The story that inspired them all is the same.
