1. With open hearts we come this Anzac Day
To pay respect, to ponder and to pray;
We would reflect upon the pers’nal cost
Paid by those grieving and by all “the Lost.”
Contemplate all nature’s beauty
And embrace its darker side;
Life as sacrifice is ordered;
Sometimes life will be denied;
Celebrate with adoration
New growth after seeds have died.
On this beautiful harvest day
We celebrate the wonder and joy of creation
A beauty that brings sustenance, hope and healing to the human soul.
The seed of God is in us.
If you are an intelligent and hard-working farmer,
it will thrive and grow up into God,
Take and eat: take and meet
This is my body: I am the bread
The bread of life, the bread of lives
We eat with our friends, enjoying a meal
In fellowship sweet; it has great appeal;
The same was for Jesus; it was a strong sign
To demonstrate friendship — in bread and in wine.
