On November 2-4, 2007, an intimate gathering of progressive Christians will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The conference will bring emerging leaders from around the country, matching them with nationally prominent mentors in the progressive Christian movement.

The event is sponsored by the Plymouth Center for Progressive Christian Faith, whose mission is to articulate, share and act upon foundational and emerging values of progressive Christian faith that respect and care for all people and the Earth.

The weekend conference will address the following skill areas: spiritual practice for a life of action; communicating our progressive faith in light of the opposition; landscaping the emerging progressive Christian trends today, including new media, uses of technology, and national coalition building; and money resources, including where is the money coming from and going to for progressive Christian witness today.

The planning committee for the weekend includes representatives from the Plymouth Center of Minneapolis, The Beatitudes Society, Graduate Theological Union, United Seminary and Union Theological Seminary. The planning committee is chaired by Steve Jacobs, Assistant Provost for Accedidation at Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

Attendance is limited. Emerging leaders are invited to submit applications which are available on this web page for download. Mentors will be invited to participate by members of the planning committee.
