Table Graces
Saying grace before a meal offers us all a chance to pause for a moment of gratitude in our busy days. Grace can be as simple as a silent blessing or as participative as going around the table with each person saying something they are thankful for (particularly good for children, both to hear their parents and to contribute their own). My favorite book of table graces is One Hundred Graces by Marcia and Jack Kelly (New York: Bell Tower, 1992). Beautiful calligraphy by Christopher Gausby.
