My Life Flows on in Endless Song
Queer Sacred Music Collection
From the Queer Sacred Music Collection
of Amanda Udis-Kessler
Amanda writes: I wrote this hymn text for an Advent sermon (Advent 2) in peace in a time of violence. Initially, I intended just to use the traditional words but I was bothered by the idea that the sacred song exists somehow apart from the pains and challenges of the world, and I found myself reworking the text to relocate our yearning for and expectation of peace to exist within the chaos, cruelty, and violence around us – perhaps especially this year (2024).
