Ad Vent Word Jazz

“My soul magnifies the Lord,
And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
For he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant…”

You tweeted
Then repeated
That I was doped
Repeatedly groped
Sexually harassed
Pinched in the ass
You got violent
I stayed silent

You perpetrated
But God incubated
While no one was looking
Something got cooking
Now my belly’s on fire
With holy desire
To bring you down
Remove your crown

I won’t take the vent
Out of Advent
Time for me to yell
I won’t leave the L
Out of the public
I won’t hide the subject
You lost your insulation
From full investigation

My voice magnifies
My rage intensifies
My power amplifies
While you minimize
Even romanticize
Your dirty deeds
That met your needs

You picked the wrong time
To downplay your crime
Cause Advent’s the moment
For change to foment
For the lowly to get high
For outrage to magnify
Our righteous expectations
Moot the statute of limitations

Don’t mess with this Mary
Or it’s gonna get scary
Cause the pols and the swells
Won’t hear jingle bells
Till justice is done
And dignity’s won

“He has brought down the powerful
from their thrones,
and lifted up the lowly;
he has filled the hungry with good things,
and sent the rich away empty…”
