Christian Mindfulness

It’s a tough task to be spiritually mindful in the midst of the chaos in a world where most of our moments have been seized by a mindless environment. A framework is needed to accomplish purposeful mindfulness throughout the day while attending to our necessary obligations, ideally leading to mental, physical, spiritual health.

The reader of this material may be a Christian who is looking to deepen spirituality and one’s relationship with Jesus Christ. Of these, some may be suffering from stress, strained relationships, or emotional instability. That group will find particular relief and sustenance in this material.

All ideas and practices are totally consistent with Christian principles although perhaps somewhat nonconventional in structure. Much of what is not conventional is suggested by numerous Biblical references. For the Christian, the divine nature of the present moment means that such mindfulness involves a loving attention to God. We might say that Christian Mindfulness is above all a mindfulness of the Spirit, attending to the love of God in timeless creation and thus a loving awareness of that creation. Such spiritual awakening can be useful to the non-Christian who would allow Jesus Christ as a conduit.
