From the womb of Mother Earth

We are brought by God to birth

With creative tenderness

Through God’s loving life caress.

Earth is home for humankind

Weaving with the ties that bind

In a living unity

Nature’s great diversity.

 

In the life of Christ we see

All that sets a person free

From their self-disdain and fear,

Free to laugh, to cry, to care.

Child in heart, with adult mind

They give thanks each time they find

God’s great beauty, love and pain;

Freed to live God’s Spring again.

 

Parent, Child and Spirit God

You surround us with your love

And within our deepest space

Form a well of tender grace.

Deep within us you conceive

Patterns which we jointly weave

In life’s vibrant tapestry

With creative artistry.
