THANKSGIVING FOR LIFE

Leader: For the gift of life,

For the glory and wonder of creation,

All: WE THANK YOU GOD

 

Leader: For the worldwide human family

Born to give and born to receive,

Born to help and born to be helped,

Born to forgive and born to be forgiven,

Born to love and born to be loved,

All: WE THANK YOU GOD

 

Leader: For the joys which children bring us and

for all that we can learn from them;

For their laughter,

innocence,

love

and unquestioning trust,

All: WE THANK YOU GOD

 

Leader: For Jesus Christ –

A true pattern for living

HELP US TO BE OPEN TO ALL NEW LIFE AND

ESPECIALLY TO THAT FULNESS OF LIVING WHICH WE SEE

The miracle of life renewed for us all.

All: ALL LIFE IS HOLY, ALL LIFE IS ONE.

1. All-loving God, enable us to both see and nurture in children the signs of your Way, that they may be for us a foretaste of an age to come and a means of our liberation.
2. God of all justice and peace, help us with the eyes of a child to see behind the ugliness and injustice of life to that eternal beauty which is yours, O God.
