Privacy Policy

How Information is Used
Your privacy is extremely important to us and we do everything we can to protect it.  To that end, only gathers personal data — such as name, address, e-mail address etc. — when you voluntarily submit it.  If an organization wishes to participate in our online directory, we will post their contact information on our site.  Individuals also have the option to be listed in our Directory, for the purpose of connecting and networking with other local progressive Christians.  However, even if information is displayed in our directory, we will never sell, rent or lease the personal information we collect to any third party.  Additionally, any of your information that is not voluntarily displayed on our website is considered absolutely private, and will not be disclosed in any manner to any person without prior consent, unless otherwise required by law.

All information collected through store purchases,  mailing lists, event registrations, e-bulletin lists, donation cards, ect. will be added to our database and may be used to send out pertinent, periodic mailings – both email and postal.   These include but may not be limited to, newsletters, annual reports, fundraising appeals, special offers, and information regarding events sponsored or supported by or by Bishop Spong, whose weekly essay we publish.

Updating Personal Information
If any of your personal information – such as email address, postal address or phone number – changes, you may update it anytime by logging into our website, clicking “account” in the top right-hand corner, and updating the appropriate information.

To change your email address for your subscription to our e-bulletin, click on your profile link located at the bottom of every e-bulletin mailing, and change the email address in the appropriate box.  To unsubscribe, simply click the “unsubscribe” link located at the bottom of every email.

How Information is Protected
When you submit information via our Web site, your information is protected both on and off-line. Credit card numbers are not stored anywhere on our system and cannot be viewed by anyone at any point during or after the on-line transaction.

Personal information received off-line, such as over the phone, will be used to complete the immediate transaction – eg. purchase, subscriptions, donations, affiliations, ect.  The information will then be immediately shredded.
