Youth and Family Ministry Coordinator (part time), Peace Lutheran Church, El Paso, TX

Part-time, 20 hrs./week position. Responsible for managing and oversight of youth and family ministry volunteers, events, and meetings. Acts as the Church Sunday School Coordinator, responsible for scheduling teachers of classes for children pre-K to grade 6, and choosing curriculum in consultation with the Pastor and Church Council. Creates, organizes, schedules, and provides oversight of all youth, family and intergenerational events in consultation with the Pastor. Works with other ELCA churches and organizations, including our ecumenical partners for the benefit of joint youth and family event sharing. Attends Sunday worship regularly. Participates in annual continuing education and/or ELCA youth and family ministry support and training events. Certification in Youth and Family Ministry preferred. Documentation of Safe Churches program training, i.e. “Safe Haven.” College degree in related field acceptable with history of experience in working, counseling, teaching, or leading youth and adolescents.
