Love God
With all your heart
With all your understanding
With all your strength
With all your soul
Love your neighbor as yourself
Love your enemies
Pray for those who mistreat you
Bless those who curse you
Do good to those who hate you
Do not condemn
Do not judge
Forgive freely
Treat others as you would have them treat you
Hunger and thirst for justice
Be a peacemaker
Be gentle but strong
Be pure in heart
Be salt
Be leaven
Be light
Be compassionate
Be a servant to all
Feed the hungry
Satisfy the thirsty
Clothe the naked
Care for the sick
Visit the imprisoned
Welcome the immigrant
Give to everyone who asks
Deny your self
Your self-interest
Your self-concern
Your self-centeredness
Your selfishness
Do not worry about
Tomorrow
Your life
What you will eat
What you will drink
What you will wear
Take nothing for your journey
No bread
No bag
No money
Seek God’s kingdom of peace and justice
God’s reign of compassion and love
God’s movement of radical change
God’s vision of a transformed world
Seek and you will find it
Knock and it will be opened to you
God’s kingdom
Is within you
Is among you
Is all around you
Be transformed –
For God’s kingdom is at hand
For God’s kingdom is confronting you
For God’s kingdom is awaiting you
For God’s kingdom is calling you
Come
Take up your cross
