DAVE POMEROY is a United Church of Christ clergy, currently pastoring the First Congregational Church/UCC in Las Vegas, NV, where he has been for seven years.
For 30+ years he was on the staff of the Communication Commission of the National Council of Churches, where he developed religious television programs for the three major networks, assisted in video production and distribution, and served on the board of Ecunet -- an ecumenical on-line Internet service. For three years he was Vice President, Digital Division for Faith & Values Media, where he developed an on-line video streaming service. He has also served churches in Long Beach, NY, and Chappaqua, NY. He has been married for 50 years to Ann, with four children and four grandchildren. He attended DePauw University and Union Theological Seminary.
What is the Sacred Dance Guild? As the name implies, it is a group of members who come together to support the goals of sacred dance (or movement) within the context of worship. A more important question, really, is: what is sacred dance? Sacred Dance creates moments of awe and wonder and nourishes the souls of the givers and receivers and, in doing so, helps to create a more compassionate and peaceful world.
