About Luanne Luanne Hunt is an award-winning, Grammy-balloted recording artist from Southern California, who records on the Independent label, Star Creek Entertainment. Throughout her illustrious career as an Indie artist, Hunt has built an impressive list of accomplishments and a worldwide fan base with her refreshing and well-crafted country folk tunes. Her 2007 CD, “Breaking Through, ” has produced two hit singles on U.S. and European Charts. The enchanting “Solace In The Wind” reached No. 1 the European Country Music Association’s chart (Belgium) in July, 2010. The tune, which was written by Hunt’s husband Steve, peaked at No. 37 on the Indie World Country Chart, which is the largest and oldest independent music chart in the genre. Additionally, the song landed on the 2009 Grammy ballot in two categories: Best Country Song and Best Female Country Performance. In December 2011, Hunt's holiday tune, "Christmas Without You", went to No. 1 on the European Country Music Association chart in France, Denmark and Austria. It also was the second most played song in Europe during the month of December, 2011. In 2012, Luanne's Gospel tunes, “He Was There” and “There Is A Fountain” landed at the No. 1 spot on Europe’s premier Hotdisc Christian chart. She also consistently holds the No. 1 spot on Roots Music Report’s Folk Chart (Internet play). The chart is based on radio spins worldwide. "Luanne's voice is beautiful and haunting and reminiscent of a female version of Simon and Garfunkel,” said Bobby Jo Valentine of Music Worth Reviewing. “Her lyrics are powerful, her musicianship is solid, and there's simply a thousand things to love about this artist. She will be sure to go far." Hunt began pursuing a professional music career in the mid-1990s. She found immediate success with her critically-acclaimed single “I Don’t Bother Counting,” which was frequently played on the former KIK FM country radio station in Orange County, California and on other stations throughout the Southwest. In 1996, she shared the bill with Billy Ray Cyrus, Tammy Wynette, Toby Keith and Martina McBride at Starfest Country Music Festival at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds. Over the years, many of Hunt’s songs have been played on AM, FM, Satellite and Internet stations around the world. In 2007, Luanne was featured on an “On-Air” interview on the “Steve and Johnnie Show” on Chicago’s WGN Radio. In 2009 and 2012, she was featured as the "Christmas Star of the Day" on Doug Stephan's syndicated "Good Day" radio program. Most recently, Hunt had the opportunity to record a new Christmas song with 1960s hit makers The Royal Guardsmen (“Snoopy’s Christmas” and “Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron”). The tune, “Rudy’s Winter Break,” takes listeners on a humorous holiday journey to the Caribbean with Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, who is in desperate need of a little rest and relaxation. Hunt, who co-wrote the song with her husband Steve, says recording with The Royal Guardsmen was the thrill of a lifetime. “I am in awe of The Royal Guardsmen’s talent and accomplishments and to collaborate with them on this project was a great honor,” said Hunt. “Making the record was a magical experience and one that I will never forget.” Along with “Breaking Through,” Luanne has three other CDs, “The Singles Sessions,” “How Christmas Feels To Me” and “Most Requested.” All of her music, including her latest singles, "Dancing On The Moon" and “Rudy’s Winter Break” are available on iTunes, CD Baby and other online music retail outlets.
