If we want peace, it has to start with us. We must uproot violence from our language, in the ways we relate to one another.

In the shadow of COP26 we are meditating on the powerful role that Deep Ecumenism can and must play in the future of the planet. To get the most out of individual humans and our diverse communities, we must include the spiritual dimension. That is where the fire of excitement and passion, sacrifice and visions, is lit and stays lit.
is a humble reminder that we all belong to one human race.
“We all strive for purpose and understanding, to hear and to be heard, to see and to be seen, to leave this world a better place than we found it.” – Jon Linton
I’ve always assumed that the grief Mary Magdalen expresses at Jesus’ tomb had a particularity to it. We know that he had cast seven demons out of her and that she supported his ministry out of her own purse. I do not know what it is like to be a woman 2,000 years ago who was the village demoniac, but I cannot imagine it was a pleasure.
How are we complicit in the sin of the world? (A Sermon from Psalm 51)
Before we can move on, though, we need to be honest with ourselves. Before we can get to the prayer, “Create in me a clean heart” (51.10), we have to face our sins. Saying, “Create in me a clean heart,” reflects an inner desire for God’s purification. The words are a confession of our need for change. It’s so easy to point to the killer, the public official who said the wrong words, the rioters at the Capitol, the conspiracy theorists, and the anti-vaxxers. We say, They’re the ones with a problem. They are the hateful ones. Not me.
When we talk about the reproductive justice movement, we mean the movement founded by Black women that is a part of the larger movement for reproductive health in the U.S. and globally.

America is horrified and embarrassed but not many of us are shocked. The failed insurrection that took place on Wednesday, January 6th, was planned, orchestrated, inspired, and incited by our president who recently lost re-election and who has been desperate to hold onto power even if he had to destroy democracy to do so.

170 Danish scholars from 5 universities came together to consider how the world needs to change post covid-19. They make five crucial suggestions:
Matthew 14:13-21
During our lock-down we have found new ways of being the Church, new ways of seeing the DIVINE in one another, new ways of communing with one another.
Wwe have to make choices to be more “human” as we care for those who are physically at risk, those who are unemployed, impoverished, and without either shelter or access to healthcare. Evolution didn’t happen once thousands of years ago, it is something that must be renewed daily or we are in danger of slipping back into more primitive if not reptilian ways of thinking.
"Leaning In: A Prayer of Intention" is a sung prayer of intercession that aims to break down the distinction between the typical "us"

Covid-19 has separated us from our officially-sanctioned holy places and sacred things. The members of our church in Los Angeles yearn to get back to our beloved worship space. But we are seizing this opportunity to turn the church inside out. We are finding the sacred in the relationships we maintain with each other on computer screens, in the elements of communion we assemble from donuts and crackers and orange juice and coffee, and in the urban, indoor, and natural environments that have become our sanctuaries.
The anti-mask vs pro-mask divide in this stage of the global pandemic becomes an interesting litmus test for either an empathetic world view or a kind of apologetic for being something of a sociopath.
Founded on the film’s themes for how the underground mycelium network heals, sustains and contributes to the regeneration of life on Earth, these songs are designed to help listeners relax, meditate, dream, and create.
Son. Father. Uncle. Friend. Human being. Child of God. What blindness could keep anyone from seeing the sacred life in this
Covid-19 will also have a casualty count among congregations. Which churches will survive into the 21st century and, frankly, which ones really shouldn’t? If loneliness is the number one form of suffering in the western world, surely the connections made in a faith community should be a major solution to that isolation.
