Metaphors of the Sacred
Where would we be without metaphors in our spiritual conversations? How else would we describe those ineffable transcendent moments, or the feelings we have when the Spirit moves, or the exquisite joy that is, to quote Teilhard de Chardin, “the most infallible sign of the presence of God”?
